Elbwiesen| This is Dresden

I love cities with big rivers, Hamburg, Paris, Straßbourg, Graz, and so many more. Dresden is one of them and, yes, special – along the river Elbe there are huge greenlands. Meadows, sometimes flooded, often used as hideaway in the middle of the city. A place to enjoy nature and some quiet moments with the big city lights in sight.
Last week I took a stroll through autumn, capturing these moments. The greenfields, a lost place in the middle of everything.

Honey, I took a bath!

honey I washed the kids von lush zum baden

Yes, it’s getting cold, winter is coming, I don’t know wether I’m coming or going and I need something to feel cozy and comfy. Every now and then, my head needs some quality time.
What’s better than a bath tube, and some ingredientes that could be used for a delicious cake also? Some honey, milk, chocolate, pecan, you name it!  My favorites are bath salt from Dresdner Essenz (how could that ever be different, living in Dresden!), a delicous soap (please, don’t eat it) from Lush with the funny name „Honey I washed the kid“ (not just for kids, although the love it, too) and that wonderful Sephora honey mask to make everything perfect. When I light my Pecksniff’s Pecan Candle, draw water in the bathtub it helps me to switch off. I hope you find some time for yourselves too during that busy time, between Thanksgiving and Christmas! x

moody winter

a view from the street, some images captured while on our way home crossing the moody landscapes of northern saxony, on a winters day, cloudy and cold and yet beautiful.

So I find words I never thought to speak
In streets I never thought I should revisit
When I left my body on a distant shore. TS Elliot
